Basic Fact Sheet for Uranus
Q. Is it [Uranus & Neptune] a rocky planet or a gas planet?
A. Both are gas planets.
Q.What is the atmosphere like on your researched planet?
A. The atmosphere on Uranus is composed mostly of hydrogen and helium, but also contains a bit of methane which gives it it's color, and traces of water and ammonia. Uranus's atmosphere gets its blue green color from the methane. Neptune's atmosphere is also cold and gets its blue color from methane. 80% of its mass is made of icy materials (water, ammonia).
Q. How long is a year on your planet?
A. A year on Uranus is 84.01 Earth years, and 1 year on Neptune is 164.79 Earth years.
